AI Visibility Checker: Does ChatGPT Know Your Brand?

More and more customers ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot or Perplexity instead of Google. This free tool asks an AI with live web search what it knows about your brand, whether it recommends you when someone asks for the best businesses in your field, and checks if your website is easy for AI crawlers to read. You get an AI visibility score and a clear action list.

We ask the AI who it recommends for this – are you in the list?

Free · 3 checks a day · uses Google Gemini with live Google Search, the same kind of engine behind AI answers

What the AI visibility check measures

Does AI know you?

We ask “What is [your brand]?” and show what an AI answers, how confident it is and the facts it found.

Are you recommended?

We ask “Who are the best [your category] in [your city]?” and check whether – and where – you appear.

Sentiment

Is what the web says about you positive, neutral or negative?

Quick answer

AI visibility (also called GEO, generative engine optimization) is how often AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity mention and recommend your brand. To improve it: let AI crawlers read your site, publish clear facts about your business (schema, llms.txt, About and FAQ pages), keep consistent profiles on Google Business, LinkedIn and directories, and earn mentions on trusted websites.

How to use it

  1. Enter your brand name – and, for a full score, your website, what you do and your city.
  2. Press Check my AI visibility. The AI searches the web and answers like an assistant would (about 20–40 seconds).
  3. Read your score, see whether you were recommended, and follow the action list – starting with the items marked red.

Why AI visibility matters in 2026

When someone asks an AI assistant “Who is the best WordPress developer in Cairo?” or “Which clinic should I visit?”, they get a short list of names – not ten blue links. If your business is not in that list, you are invisible for that customer. AI assistants build their answers from what they can read on the web: your website, your Google Business Profile, directories, reviews, social profiles and articles that mention you.

How to get recommended by ChatGPT and Gemini

  1. Let AI crawlers in: don’t block GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot or PerplexityBot in robots.txt.
  2. State the facts clearly: who you are, what you do, where, for whom, prices and proof – on your home, About and service pages.
  3. Add structured data: Organization or LocalBusiness schema with sameAs links, plus FAQPage. Create one in seconds with the llms.txt & schema generator.
  4. Be consistent everywhere: same name, address, phone and description on Google Business Profile, LinkedIn, Facebook and directories.
  5. Earn mentions: reviews, interviews, guest articles and listings on trusted sites are what AI models quote.
  6. Answer real questions: publish helpful articles and FAQs that answer what customers ask – in Arabic and English if you serve both.

Note: AI answers change over time and differ between assistants and users. Treat the result as a snapshot and re-check every month. Want help? I build AI-ready websites and run GEO/SEO as part of my WordPress development and speed & SEO services.

Frequently asked questions

What is AI visibility or GEO?

AI visibility – also called GEO (generative engine optimization) or AEO – is how often AI assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and Perplexity mention, describe and recommend your brand when people ask questions related to your business.

How do I know if ChatGPT knows my business?

Use this free checker: it asks an AI with live web search what your brand is and whether it recommends you in your category and city, then shows the answer, sentiment and sources.

How can I get my business recommended by AI?

Allow AI crawlers, publish clear facts and structured data (Organization schema, llms.txt, FAQ), keep your profiles consistent across the web, collect reviews and get mentioned on trusted websites.

Does llms.txt help with AI visibility?

llms.txt is a simple Markdown file that summarises your site for AI tools. It is a new, low-effort signal; it helps AI tools find your key pages but does not replace good content, schema and mentions.

Why are the results different from what I see in ChatGPT?

Each assistant uses different models, data and live search, and answers vary by user and time. This tool gives a consistent, search-grounded snapshot to measure progress over time.
